Review changes
Gleanary proposes changes. You decide which ones happen.
What waits for review
Section titled “What waits for review”When an agent wants to change items in your library, it proposes the change instead of making it. Proposals can include:
- new titles or summaries
- filings and new or renamed categories
- links between items, and updates to links that moved
- archiving items
- revisions to a document
A few things happen without review, because they only add to your library:
- Filing a new link you just saved. If Gleanary is confident where it belongs, it files it and shows Undo on the message. If it isn’t, it only suggests a home.
- Documents from the writer. They are saved as new notes.
Review a set of changes
Section titled “Review a set of changes”A proposal in chat shows what would change, such as “2 titles and 1 filing”, and reads Proposed. Nothing changes until you apply.
- Choose Review Changes….
- In Review Proposed Changes, check the changes you want. They are grouped by kind. Document revisions show the lines added and removed.
- Choose Apply N to make the checked changes, or Reject All to dismiss them.
If you check a filing into a new category, the new category is checked too.
Single proposals
Section titled “Single proposals”A single link or filing shows as a card with two buttons: Not Now, and Link or File. A link adds a connection between two items without changing the text of either.
After you apply changes, choose Undo on the proposal to reverse them. Undo leaves an item alone if you edited it again since.
If an item changed after Gleanary proposed something, the proposal is skipped instead of overwriting your edit. The summary shows how many changes were skipped.
See what changed
Section titled “See what changed”Activity lists every change to your library by day.
- Filter by who made the change: Everyone, You or Gleanary.
- Filter by type: Notes, Sources, Links, Filing or Deletions.
- Use Jump to Date, Previous Day and Next Day to move through time.
A Before your last visit divider shows what changed since you last looked. For changes made by an automation, Undo This Run reverses the whole run.
