Research audits
Ask what you are missing, and get an answer from what you saved.
A research audit checks a question against your saved items. It reports what those items don’t establish. It never claims that the research doesn’t exist, only that your library doesn’t show it.
Start an audit
Section titled “Start an audit”Mention the researcher and write your question. Any configured model can run an audit, including the one on your Mac.
@researcher audit Does sleep timing change how well people remember what they read?Check the scope
Section titled “Check the scope”Gleanary turns your question into up to six criteria, then waits. Nothing is read until you choose Run Audit. Criteria taken from your own words start checked. Its suggestions start unchecked and are labeled.
Read the report
Section titled “Read the report”Each criterion gets a coverage label in words, followed by the quotes behind it.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Supported | Verified quotes answer the criterion. |
| Partly covered | Quotes answer part of it. Each shows what it leaves out. |
| Not found | Nothing in the audited items answers it. Library-wide searches also found no answer. |
| Unknown | An item was only partly saved, or a step failed. |
A quote being real doesn’t make it evidence. Gleanary drops quotes that only mention the topic.
